Nestled in woodland within the South Downs National Park, our award-winning oak-framed cabins offer the perfect woodland retreat with hot tub facilities in the heart of the Sussex countryside. Designed by an award-winning architect and located just a stone’s throw from the historic and beautiful village of Alfriston, our cabins recently won a Prestige Award for Best Cabin 2022.

With a log burner, flushing toilets, hot showers and an abundance of cosy charm, why not enjoy a relaxing stay in one of our cabins all year round? Relax in the comfort of our beautiful, fully equipped luxurious cabins and reconnect around the firepit before unwinding in the wood-fired hot tub available with each cabin.

Child friendly, perfect for couples, groups of friends or simply a romantic woodland retreat, why not bring your dog too? Each cabin has a double bed on the mezzanine and a comfortable double sofa bed downstairs.

Experience local wildlife outside your window, inhale the fresh country air and be amazed at the surrounding countryside, with the beach only a short distance away.

If you’re lucky, you may even see a fox, badger, woodpecker, butterflies and swans to name a few, or hear the twit-twoo of an owl. Also look out for the amazing Spitfire airplane flying across the river from time to time.

The cabins are open all year and provide the ideal woodland retreat with hot tub accommodation for families, couples, mountain bikers, paragliders, canoeists, star gazers and walkers exploring the South Downs Way. Enjoy cosy nights beside the wood burner, relax beneath the stars beside a firepit, or rent both cabins with friends for the ultimate countryside escape.

Many of our visitors walk or cycle to our cabins before continuing on to complete part or all of the South Downs Way. We also have an electric car charging point and are working towards becoming carbon-neutral. If you would like to travel via train, we now have our own private hire licence and are happy to arrange collection from local train stations for a fixed fee.
